March 30th--What's New at Your Maine Stamper!!!

The Stamp-of-the-Month is in!!!  Don't you just love this Dogwood Blossom from Hero Arts!  We inked it up yesterday and stamped on PolyShrink shrink plastic to make adorable embellishments which were added to cards stamped with the full-size image.  Lovely!  I can imagine this stamped and then stamped again on print paper with the blossoms then cut out and pop-dotted over the original stamped image, some jewels or pearls in the flower centers.  Or stamped on a creamy white and colored in soft chalks or colored pencils.  Call to reserve yours or stop in and get one before they are all gone!  This stamp won't last long because of its beauty and versatility!!!

Paula was in on Saturday and did another demo using the Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamps.  There are some lovely samples on the table.  These sets have been very popular lately--lots of pegs in each set to create a variety of looks on cards and tags and scrapbook pages.  They work nicely too on Courtney's templates for teapots, cups and saucers, birdhouse, gift bags, and gift boxes.  Come check them out!!!

Some of what's the newest of the new at Your Maine Stamper!  In anticipation of our annual April It's Raining Cats and Dogs weeks-long celebration and special events, we've gotten in a bunch of new cat and dog images and words, including one clear set that is adorable.  There are two 6X6 pads from Basic Grey for those of us who love working with the smaller scaled prints.  There's a new cursive LOVE stamp that is indeed lovely.  And there are three very large unmounted background stamps--branches, woodgrain, and spirals--which are stiff enough to ink up and use as is without an acrylic block (we're not even sure anyone sells an acrylic block that big!); and they are large enough to completely cover a standard A2 card.

This is the newest Bo Bunny paper with coordinating embellishments in the just-released Jazmyne collection.  Each of the complimentary pages has glitter and shimmer and shine!  We also have the newest shades in the Dot papers!!!

Just a few more days left to finish crafting those Easter cards and decorations!!!  Lydia's been decorating pails and bags to give you some ideas.  On one bag she used stickers and bejeweled some flowers--you can even have the bag if you buy the displayed materials she used!  There are some great  white velvet bunny stickers, Easter word stickers, and purple egg stickers.  We also have great ribbon for tying on those Easter baskets.  And who wouldn't love to find a cute rabbit, chick, bird, flower, or butterfly rubber stamp in their Easter basket!!!  There are some great punches and there's always Stickles in great spring colors!!!

TRADE SHOW UPDATE:  Connie and Lydia attended an industry trade show in the Boston area on Sunday.  What fun they had--and how tired they were by the end of the day!--visiting with dozens of vendors and placing orders.  Keep an eye on this blog for product arrival announcements.  They were able to order from some old favorites but also picked up a couple of new companies that we all feel you will absolutely love.  Connie even has a make and take already planned for one of the new products!

Next week will mark the beginning of our
It's Raining Cats and Dogs celebration and events
at Your Maine Stamper.  I'll have a post up by the end of the week with more details,
and you will want to get in on the activities we have planned.

Happy Stamping!

Spring at Your Maine Stamper!

I know, the official first day of spring hasn't arrived yet, but things are looking very spring-y at Your Maine Stamper!  I LOVE the Easter table with Connie's bright tablecloth and the wooden bunny my dad made for Lydia a couple of years ago.  Daffodils and tulips and a nice bright touch to the tables.  Rabbits and chicks have been hopping out the door at a rapid pace as people begin crafting their Easter cards and decorations.  We have some lovely ribbons in for spring and the notecard selection is huge at the moment--Taffy Pink, Hyacinth purple, lots of greens and blues, light Blossom pink...lovely colors.  There's also a great bunny paper and another with colored eggs.

The Ugly Dog Contest basket is filling up--don't forget to bring in your completed cards from the Ugly Dog bag you picked up at our last event.  We will be drawing names for some fantastic prizes when we celebrate on April 24th when it will be RAINING CATS AND DOGS AT YOUR MAINE STAMPER.  Speaking of that event, I've been ordering new cat and dogs stamps that have been scampering out the door almost as fast as they come in.

Some new stamps arrived yesterday from Repeat Impressions.  There are also more of the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and the stencils/masks to use with them or with other sprays to add interest to your backgrounds.  We also have some cool punches that both punch and emboss--Buttons and Butterflies.  They're a little pricey but I haven't seen them anywhere else.

We also have a great selection of inks at the moment, and a lot of them are in the smaller Dew Drop size--a nice way to pick up lots of colors inexpensively.  Our Memory Box display will get restocked this week.  I can't wait!  More stamps that are new to us, more papers...

Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamps continue to be a hot item at the store.  Paula will be doing another FREE demo on Saturday March 27th from 1 to 3.  Don't miss this event!!!

Our St. Patrick's Day Sale continues through Wednesday with all those items 20% off!!!  Come buy some green and save some green in the process!!!

Happy Stamping!

NEWS from YOUR MAINE STAMPER March 9th

Jeanne Amburg won the hot pink canvas tote stuffed with YMS goodies in the monthly drawing. You, too, could be a winner in the April 24th drawing--just bring that zip pouch in every time you shop to be entered into the contest. The more you buy, the more times you get your name in the teddy bear jar!

Thanks to everyone who came to our WE'RE GOING GREEN event on Saturday! What a blast! There were so many people that I even ran out of Ugly Dog Card Challenge bags! Lots of people got to work with Penny Bennington and the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. I had at least twenty people making Memory Box Egg Tree cards and one brave little girl made a Memory Box St. Patrick's Day card with tons of glitter. What fun!!! Four door prizes were handed out before noon. Congratulations to the winners!

NEW PRODUCTS here or on the way!

TATTERED ANGELS Glimmer Mists arrived yesterday!!! Also in the box: GORGEOUS NEW PAPERS--strawberries with blossoms and bees; glitter flowers; moose; and a shimmery shiny gold paper with owls that is beautiful.

MEMORY BOX is due to arrive today!!! New cards and envelopes in luscious colors. The CARD COLOR OF THE MONTH--only 8 packages of 25 cards each in Seedling with a free Pear Tart ink! Some stamps that we haven't had before from them. 6X6 packs of Glimmer, Frond, and Spearmint. I also placed another order yesterday for even more stamps and papers and jewels that will be here in two weeks.

HERO ARTS should be here any day!!! Lots of new stamps!!!

Honestly, there's so much on order and we still haven't gone to the Trade Show which is at the end of this month. I can't wait to see what we will find there! If there's anything special you are looking for, please post a comment on this blog or tell one of us at the shop so we can be looking for it. We're glad to special order. Already this week we got in ink for someone making graduation announcements and found the perfect stamp for another woman's wedding invitations.

Keep checking the shop and we'll call you when your special orders arrive.

Happy stamping!
