WORLD CARD MAKING DAY OCTOBER 3rd reminder and Other Stuff

THE DAY is fast approaching. I was at the shop yesterday and rearranged some of the sale items for the 3rd. We'll be adding sticker dots on that Friday night before the event to a whole bunch of items that will be 30% off for that day only.

New orders are on the way. I can't believe it, but we've got to start another Memory Box order--we're all out of Twilight and Butterfields papers already! And their stamps are just soooo cute! We're starting to get more holiday items in--great cardstock and other stickers, snowflake and star clears gems, snowflake brads (twice as many in a package as last year for the same price!), and new gemstones from Kaiser (these are individually glue dotted rather than on a line of glue so you don't have to cut them apart and the sizes are varied in each package). We've got some adorable photo image add-ons for cards/scrapbook pages--dogs and cats in Santa hats, mittens, candy canes, and wreaths.

If you don't have one yet, you've got to see the Memory Box brambly wreath! I LOVE this stamp!!! It can be decorated in so many ways that it has uses for all year-round. Orange and black Dew Drops with a black ribbon for Halloween; orange and gold sparkly gems with a fall ribbon for Thanksgiving; red and green and clear stones and a red or green ribbon for Christmas; snowflake brads and a blue ribbon for winter--well, you get the idea. It's the stamp in the lower right of the photo and there's a sample card next to it. Just click your mouse on the photo for an enlarged view.

Don't forget that we are your Halloween Headquarters! For some reason I don't understand, this is Lydia's favorite holiday (and my least favorite). Anyway, we've got cardstock stickers, photo images of Wizard of Oz characters, some great tiny stamps @$1.20 each, orange paint dabbers, Stickles in great colors, and a wide selection of fun stamps for Halloween. There are even some Cuttlebug folders that would make great backgrounds for your card projects. We've also got a huge selection of fall papers--bats, pumpkins, fall words, and black glitter tree paper, just to name a few.

Thanksgiving is on the way too and we have some lovely stamps, papers, and word stamps that would be perfect for cards, place cards, and home decor. How about a great piece of 12X12 paper collaged with stamped images and bits of ephemera to welcome the season? Maybe a gratitude book? Now I'm thinking about taking a package of the Memory Box Spiceberry 6X6 papers and making a minibook for Thanksgiving where every dinner guest gets a page to decorate with a jounaling box on it to write a list of things one is thankful for this year. This then becomes a wonderful family keepsake. I know when my family gathers for the holiday there are always jokes and stories to tell and may be these could be added too. Photographs, key words, a desserts list...you can see how my brain works! :-)

Be sure to stop in regularly and check out what's new. There are still a few stamps left at 40% off. The October Stamp-of-the-month is waiting in the wings for October 1st. There are good fall and holiday items and stamps on our Clearance Sale Table, including Christmas tree clear stamps. And the papers we have in are fantastic. If you haven't worked with Core'dinations papers yet, we've had to reorder and only have the black and blue today--these are so much fun with the Cuttlebug. Stop by for a demo! And we are always well-stocked with those everyday essential like Glue Pens, tapes, Glue Dots, craft glue, embossing powders, glitter, Stickles, stamp pads, etc. (That reminds me that we've got my favorites restocked--Versafine in lots of colors and Memories ArtPrint Brown and Memories Black!)

There are two spaces left in next Monday's album class with Anne.

Happy stamping!

Anne

  1. Once again a great blog, Anne...and for those that might be reading this comment typed Tuesday afternoon the First Day Of Fall -- there was a large Notions order received today which included 15 different colors of Core-dinations 12x12 cardstock. Yes, I had to buy some while helping Lydia unpack the box! Connie

  2. I LOVE the wreath stamp-also the twisty tree (by Memory Box). They are so versatile. I made 18 "over the top with embellishments" cards yesterday and I love, love, love the 6 x 6 Twilight paper and I called for more yesterday. It is awesome!!!
