It's Raining Cats and Dogs at Your Maine Stamper

We are certainly having some fun at the shop this month as we collect food donations and sell raffle tickets for 4 baskets of dog/cat-themed goodies with the monies and the food going to the Kennebec Valley Humane Society.  Remember that your food donation of $5 or more value gets you 6 tickets for the raffles or you can purchase raffle tickets for $1 each or 6 for $5.  We were doing a brisk business on raffle tickets this morning, especially while our friend Boomer the dog was visiting!  Even the postman bought tickets!

NEW PRODUCTS AT YOUR MAINE STAMPER

Our first order from The Cat's Pajamas arrived this morning.  Several of the stamps we have tucked away for the event on the 24th, including a perfect stamp for that day at 40% off that will retail for less than $6.  The rest of the stamps are out on the front counter--Chicken Soup (a chicken sitting in a bowl labeled "soup"); the Spring Chicken (sitting in a baby carriage); "You're no spring chicken" word stamps; and "Happy 29th birthday again" word stamps.

There's new paper in from Bo Bunny--more of the dot papers in great colors for spring and summer; four coordinating papers in rusts and greens, some with leaves, some with words, perfect background papers for card fronts or scrapbook pages.  There's other new 12X12s, too:  a hot pink with black glitter branches; a lovely blue on blue; strawberries; florals.

We are already reordering more of the new products that came in last week from Nikki Sivils, another new-to-us company.  There are great 6X6 pads!  You have to see these papers!!!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of them!  We also got in Bread(less) Tags which are great for pins or embellishments and White Paper Flags just begging to be decorated for pins, embellishments, or even for cupcake labels!  Connie has made up some cute samples for many of these products.  I think you are going to love this line!

The Memory Box Enchanted Butterfly release has been ordered and will ship around the 15th so we should have those in by the event on the 24th!  There are new 6X6 papers and 12X12s that are absolutely beautiful that will be coming with that order as well as more notecards and envelopes in new colors including some shimmer ones.

We have new sparkly stickers in blue, pink and purple circles as well as pink ribbon sparkly stickers.  It looked to me today like there were lots of stickers I'd never seen before on both the pegboards on the wall by the entrance as well as on the spinning racks.

There are several new ribbons and more of the green velvet rickrack that we reordered.

Many of the products that Lydia and Connie ordered at the MA show in late March are starting to arrive.  We are expecting packages almost every day for awhile.  Be sure to stop by frequently and check out what's new!  We've got a great table display right now of dog and cat stamps.  The newest House Mouse is in!  And there's only one of the Dogwood stamps from Hero Arts that is our stamp-of-the-month.

Charlene is back and she is teaching a class this coming Saturday using circles and the Bo Bunny purple coordinating sparkly papers.  Call the store to sign up!

There are almost always classes on Mondays and Saturdays.  Plans are already in the works for summer classes, too.  Please let us know what you would like for instruction so that we can create classes to meet your needs.  You can always leave a comment on this blog, send me an e-mail at anne.thompson@fairpoint.net, or call the store at 377-4829 to leave a message.  We look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you in the store!!!

Happy Stamping!

Anne

  1. Anne, I was so delighted to just find your blog. I used to live in the Rockland area and would drive over to Your Maine Stamper on occasion. I have a few original stamps that Courtney Ricker drew and would love to have more. Any chance of getting a catalog of her stamps somehow.

  2. Kim, I'll see what I can do. We really need to update and reprint our catalog. I'm also investigating some kind of online store for Courtney's designs. Keep checking the blog as I also hope to feature her stamps from time to time. We could certainly take phone or an e-mail order from you. Maybe I can come up with a way to scan images and e-mail them to you. You can contact me at anne.thompson@fairpoint.net. Thanks!
