Counting Down to Saturday!

SATURDAY OCTOBER 3RD IS WORLD CARD MAKING DAY AND HAVE WE GOT A FUN-FILLED DAY PLANNED FOR YOU!!!

There will be sales, sales, sales--buy 3 Stickles and get 1 free; buy 3 stencils and get one free, and buy 3 Adirondack Lights/Brights/Earthtones and get 1 free! Connie and I will also be running around the shop on Friday night and stickering special items for 30% off on Saturday only. I added a few more items to the sale table today, too--really good deals on Tim Holz Grungeboard, clear tiles, metal numbers, etc. as well as stamps, stamps, and more stamps. Core'dinations papers are in and are $.55 each through Saturday and then the price goes up to $.59 each.

There will be door prizes!
There will be light refreshments!

And there will be demos and make-it/take-its!

Check out these cute card samples Jo made for her afternoon project:

As usual, I moved things around a bit in the store today and changed the big blue shelving unit in the center of the room to house a variety of inks, embossing powders, PearlEx, pens, and the Robin's Nest Dew Drops (where they now sparkle nicely in the sun). Here are photos of some of what I did today:

There are a few new Memory Box stamps in and I've put the photos here:

There's a beautiful new Indian Summer Basic Grey paper in--red maple leaves...exquisite! Sanding blocks are in and perfect for working with the Core'dinations papers. The October stamp of the month will be out on Saturday--for the first time ever we are offering one of Courtney's stamps on sale! Come pick up yours! There's also a lot of new bling in the store--rhinestones from Kaiser and Memory Box. (I LOVE theirs because some are the tiniest I've ever seen anywhere and are perfect for their brambly wreath or the Twizzle Tree, in red/green/clear or black/yellow/gold.) There are pearls in white and blue and lots and lots of paper flowers and some red poinsettia packs that would look great on your holiday cards.

So put October 3rd on your calendar and show up at YOUR MAINE STAMPER for the Big Event!!!

Happy Stamping!

Anne

p.s. Make a special trip or stop by if you are in town this week and check out the Memory Box stamps, Cuttlebug folders, and Nestabilities. These things are flying out of the shop so fast that I can't guarantee how much will be left for Saturday. Remember, too, that we have lots of wonderful inks, glues, tapes, embossing powders, stickers, and great papers for all your crafting needs! I 'm counting on you to drop in this week and come back on Saturday, too!

WORLD CARD MAKING DAY OCTOBER 3rd reminder and Other Stuff

THE DAY is fast approaching. I was at the shop yesterday and rearranged some of the sale items for the 3rd. We'll be adding sticker dots on that Friday night before the event to a whole bunch of items that will be 30% off for that day only.

New orders are on the way. I can't believe it, but we've got to start another Memory Box order--we're all out of Twilight and Butterfields papers already! And their stamps are just soooo cute! We're starting to get more holiday items in--great cardstock and other stickers, snowflake and star clears gems, snowflake brads (twice as many in a package as last year for the same price!), and new gemstones from Kaiser (these are individually glue dotted rather than on a line of glue so you don't have to cut them apart and the sizes are varied in each package). We've got some adorable photo image add-ons for cards/scrapbook pages--dogs and cats in Santa hats, mittens, candy canes, and wreaths.

If you don't have one yet, you've got to see the Memory Box brambly wreath! I LOVE this stamp!!! It can be decorated in so many ways that it has uses for all year-round. Orange and black Dew Drops with a black ribbon for Halloween; orange and gold sparkly gems with a fall ribbon for Thanksgiving; red and green and clear stones and a red or green ribbon for Christmas; snowflake brads and a blue ribbon for winter--well, you get the idea. It's the stamp in the lower right of the photo and there's a sample card next to it. Just click your mouse on the photo for an enlarged view.

Don't forget that we are your Halloween Headquarters! For some reason I don't understand, this is Lydia's favorite holiday (and my least favorite). Anyway, we've got cardstock stickers, photo images of Wizard of Oz characters, some great tiny stamps @$1.20 each, orange paint dabbers, Stickles in great colors, and a wide selection of fun stamps for Halloween. There are even some Cuttlebug folders that would make great backgrounds for your card projects. We've also got a huge selection of fall papers--bats, pumpkins, fall words, and black glitter tree paper, just to name a few.

Thanksgiving is on the way too and we have some lovely stamps, papers, and word stamps that would be perfect for cards, place cards, and home decor. How about a great piece of 12X12 paper collaged with stamped images and bits of ephemera to welcome the season? Maybe a gratitude book? Now I'm thinking about taking a package of the Memory Box Spiceberry 6X6 papers and making a minibook for Thanksgiving where every dinner guest gets a page to decorate with a jounaling box on it to write a list of things one is thankful for this year. This then becomes a wonderful family keepsake. I know when my family gathers for the holiday there are always jokes and stories to tell and may be these could be added too. Photographs, key words, a desserts list...you can see how my brain works! :-)

Be sure to stop in regularly and check out what's new. There are still a few stamps left at 40% off. The October Stamp-of-the-month is waiting in the wings for October 1st. There are good fall and holiday items and stamps on our Clearance Sale Table, including Christmas tree clear stamps. And the papers we have in are fantastic. If you haven't worked with Core'dinations papers yet, we've had to reorder and only have the black and blue today--these are so much fun with the Cuttlebug. Stop by for a demo! And we are always well-stocked with those everyday essential like Glue Pens, tapes, Glue Dots, craft glue, embossing powders, glitter, Stickles, stamp pads, etc. (That reminds me that we've got my favorites restocked--Versafine in lots of colors and Memories ArtPrint Brown and Memories Black!)

There are two spaces left in next Monday's album class with Anne.

Happy stamping!

Anne

Has it really been ten days since my last post?

How times flies when one is retired! There's just been so much going on--at home, in the store, in all our lives--I've got to start writing things down to keep track of where I'm supposed to be when. (Missed a meeting tonight that I had set as the chairperson; it never made it onto my calendar; so I did the laundry which is my usual Monday or Tuesday night activity out. Oops.)

Boxes have been streaming through the door at Your Maine Stamper this week. I will have a really good post tomorrow night with photographs of all the new items. There's a new Memory Box order that came today and Cuttlebug folders, etc. that arrived yesterday. I've got to get in there and see it all before it's gone--unless I'm already too late! Hope not...new stamps, new papers, new doo-dads and more...

And I'll have more info about SATURDAY OCTOBER 3 and our BIG EVENT in honor of World Cardmaking Day. We've got a bunch of demos and make-it/take-its planned as well as other stuff. Check in tomorrow for all the details.

'Til then...Happy Stamping!

CLOSED MONDAY FOR LABOR DAY; Save the Date 10/3

You will have to shop today for the long weekend because we are closed on Monday. It seems like UPS/FEDEX/USPostalService are showing up on a regular basis with new goodies for us. Swing card sets, Flip card sets, Swirl card sets, and Flip Stamps all arrived from Repeat Impressions this week. I've continued my rearranging and decorating and the Christmas area looks spiffy with its trees, snowmen and Santa Clauses. Fall stamps are featured on the counter, the September Stamp of the Month is in with only four left, and the front table features Thanksgiving and Christmas stamps from Memory Box and other companies. Several orders went out this week so we expect a flurry of activity soon as more boxes arrive and we make space for new products. Quite a few nice papers are in the sale area now at half price, and we can always arrange a "deal" on Grungeboard and other Tim Holtz items on the sale table. Please let us know if there's something you are looking for that we don't have. We're glad to track down products for you.

Save the Date: Saturday October 3rd! This will be our next BIG EVENT. I'll post more details on Tuesday night (after I figure out what that day will be about!), so be sure to check the blog next week on late Tuesday night or Wednesday.

I'm trying to work up the calendar of classes for September and October. Is there anything special you'd like? A particular kind of project? How-to workshops for specific products? During a weekday? Saturdays? Just let me know by calling the shop or posting a comment on this blog. I'll see what I can arrange.

I did spend last evening making up a really neat Bo Bunny book kit. I'll leave the sample in the shop on Tuesday. This would be an easy, fun class and the book is the perfect thing for summer memories, photos, etc.

Happy Stamping!
